Mentors’ Development: Via Sapientis

EMCC BASED COMPETENCY TRAINING FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DEVELOP THEIR MENTORING COMPETENCES. WE PROVIDE THIS TRAINING EXCLUSIVELY INTERNALLY IN ORGANIZATIONS.

Mentoring in organizations is an effective way of developing people that has two components – mentee development and mentor development. This profession integrates the mentor’s previous professional and personal experience with methods of learning, developing, and promoting growth, imparting knowledge and skills to the mentor.

After completing the training, which has two levels, participants will be able to perform mentoring in such a way as to effectively develop the knowledge, abilities, skills and attitudes of their mentees. Participants will also enrich their theoretical knowledge, develop communication skills and expand the methodology necessary for professional growth in mentoring.

Our starting points are psychodynamic approaches, transactional analysis and transformative adult learning. We also rely on the EMCC (European Council for Mentoring and Coaching) Competency Framework, the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors and the Diversity and Inclusion Declaration.

The training is conceived as group learning within modules and at the same time continuous individual learning, practice and reflection in the time between modules. To support learning and development, participants also collaborate in small peer groups.

TRAINING HAS TWO LEVELS:
  • Level 1 – Foundation: Basics of Mentoring – 3 days (2+1 day exam)

If interested, graduates can apply directly through our organization to obtain an internationally valid EIA accreditation at the “Foundation” level from EMCC Global. The condition is to have at least 1 year of experience, 5 clients and 50 hours of mentoring.

  • Level 2 – Practitioner: Professional mentor 7 days (3 x 2 days + 1 day exam)

Successful graduates will receive the “Professional Mentor” diploma, which confirms that they have met the conditions for mentoring training accredited by EMCC Global. The conditions include proof of minimum experience of 50 hours (20 hours as part of the training plus an additional 30 hours of actual practice). It counts from the 1st level of training, and previous experience can also be counted.

If interested, graduates can apply for internationally valid EIA accreditation directly through our EMCC Global Practitioner level organization. The condition is to have at least 3 years of experience, 10 clients and 100 hours of mentoring.
